Each of these books were 10/10 useful for me in the first two years of my career:
- Deep Work – Cal Newport
- Thank You for the Feedback – Douglas Stone and Sheila Heen
- Designing Your Life – Bill Burnett & Dave Evans
- Ultralearning – Scott Young
- Your Money or Your Life – Vicki Robin
- The Almanack of Naval Ravikant – Eric Jorgenson
I found value throughout these books. However, as Naval Ravikant would say, the number of books you’ve read is a vanity metric – so read the chapters that bring you value and skip those that don’t (or even skip the book and just find a summary of the main ideas, such as a podcast or interview with the author).
